Family Date Day at Easton

0

One of my favorite weekends of the year is when we have a family date day. We plan our day at Easton. Here are some ideas if you plan a date day with one of your kids or a family day at Easton. We usually pick a couple ideas from the list below!

Pins: We start off at Pins Mechanical Company located in the new district at Easton Town Center. They offer foosball, pinball, duckpin bowling, ping pong, bocce, and much more. After 8 pm, age is 21 plus so make sure to plan your visit before that time. Kids bowl free every Sunday with an adult. There is a huge slide at this location as well. Sometimes there is even a magician that interacts with families. There have an assortment of cocktails and drinks.

Dragon Donuts: right across the way is a delicious place that serves always fresh, made-to-order and hot donuts.

Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce: Kane grew up in the Big Apple so pictures of Times Square and vintage postcards line the walls. Enjoy burgers, sandwiches and crazy fantastic shakes such as the enormous rainbow sprinkled shake topped with confetti cake and a sparkler.

Melt: Their mission is simple: to provide the world’s best gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. The environment is fun and festive, and we always enjoy a stop here.

The Lego Store: Great place for families to get together and get creative.

Legoland Discovery Easton: Interactive experience where you are surrounded with millions of Lego bricks and opportunities to build. You can take flight with Merlin’s Apprentice, blast trolls on Kingdom Quest, and learn Lego tips and tricks.

Build-A-Bear: My youngest loves to pick out a stuffed animal. He still sleeps and reads with his special bear.

AMC Easton Towns Center 30: Enjoy a movie with the family.

There are so many options for a great date day with your littles. Go shopping, see a movie, grab a bite to eat, find a neat Lego set, or simply walk around. Easton offers a wide variety of activities and restaurants for the whole family.  We also love spending the day at Bridge Park in Dublin! Columbus is such a neat city!

Melissa Burnett
Melissa Burnett was born in New Jersey but moved to Ohio at the beginning of a school year where she thought her parents forgot her at Kindergarten and spent most of her first day in tears. Since then, she learned to transfer her imagination onto paper and write stories. She taught Title 1 Reading and wrote children’s books before embarking on her journey into parenthood. Melissa is a mother to twin boys and a younger boy who keeps her on her toes. She enjoys Friday stay home movie night with her boys and dreaming up business ideas with her extremely patient and loving husband. When she is not breaking up wrestling matches, Melissa and her husband spend their time working on rental cabins in Hocking Hills. They also enjoy popcorn and coming up with new popcorn flavors. Melissa promises she does not have motherhood figured out, but she does have many funny stories to share and a word of advice “when you go through the car wash with kids…make sure your window lock is on.” Follow her blog: melissaburnett.com
