It’s that time of year.
Time to dig out your favorite fancy dessert recipes, slave away in the kitchen making a beautiful dessert for a family dinner, only to have your kids take one look at your masterpiece and unceremoniously announce “I DO NOT like that.”

You’ll notice we avoided the chocolate and vanilla flavors to go for some of Hudsonville’s unique flavors that are memorable and delicious for both kids and adults. Triple Berry Pie topped with SuperScoop: My kids love all things berries, but put them in a pie? There was nothing that could convince them to taste it … except this fun rainbow ice cream with swirls of Black Cherry, Blue Moon, and classic Vanilla ice cream.
Banana Cream Pie paired with Brownie Batter Cookie Dough: The creamy bananas paired with frozen brownie batter bites AND cookie dough chunks? YUM. And, if the kids won’t try the pie, they still get two desserts in one bowl of ice cream.
Espresso Pie topped with Mackinac Island Fudge: I long for this pie, especially after a busy day of family gatherings. You know the point when you’re almost full from dinner but you take a look and know you need just a small slice? Then you top it with this taste of Northern Michigan, and you’ll feel like you are on vacation – it’s so worth it. The fudge swirl and chunks make it a fudgy delight.
BONUS: Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Cookies surrounding Deer Traxx: Ok, technically, this isn’t an a la mode option, but these were too good not to share. Scoop this ice cream filled with mini peanut butter cups and chocolate fudge onto a chocolate-chocolate chip cookie and sandwich together. Yum. And really … what kid is going to say no to cookies AND ice cream for dessert?
