Now that we’ve discussed the giveaway details, let’s move onto the main star, the food! Breakfast is one of my favorite times of the day, but with little kids in school, it can be a hectic one as well!

It’s nice Wendy’s offers so many great breakfast options for us parents to enjoy a special treat and some “me time” after getting our kids off to class.

I tend to stick to the classics when it comes to breakfast. The classic sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, pictured at the top of this post, is a favorite of mine! It’s made with a fresh cracked egg, grilled sausage patty and American cheese on a breakfast roll. I can be picky when it comes to eggs at breakfast places, but this one was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was a delicious way to start my morning!

I also branched out a little and gave their Honey Butter Chicken biscuit a try, which was really enjoyable as well! I loved the contrast between the soft, fresh baked biscuit and crunchy all white meat chicken breast. The whipped honey butter also gave it that salty-sweet combination which is hard for me to resist!

My husband is a little more adventurous when it comes to breakfast and he really enjoyed their Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant, which is made with a juicy chicken breast, Applewood smoked bacon and maple butter on a flaky croissant bun.

Once again, it had that great combination of different textures between the croissant, chicken and crisp bacon, along with that salty-sweet contrast, which he loves as well! Also, he wanted to make sure I noted how crispy the bacon was, which isn’t always the case with other breakfast sandwiches. He gave this sandwich two thumbs up!

Oh, and don’t forget to order a side of their seasoned potatoes with your sandwich! They’re hot and crispy with just a little seasoning to give them a flavor boost! Even my little ones who are usually anti-potato loved them, so you know they’ve got to be good!

If you want to start the day on a lighter note or have the kids in tow, you might want to try their oatmeal bar with a side of strawberries or apple bites! My kids and I especially loved the oatmeal bar. It had a soft, cookie-like consistency and tasted a little like gingerbread. Yum!

And I couldn’t talk about breakfast without mentioning coffee, right? They have three great options: hot, cold brew and my personal favorite, the Frosty-ccino! Picture cold brew coffee swirled with their classic chocolate or vanilla Frosty creamer, served over ice – absolutely delicious! Sounds like the perfect start to your day, don’t you think? The best part is that their coffee options are available all day long!

No matter what you’re in the mood for at breakfast time, Wendy’s has you covered! Be sure to listen in for their radio giveaway starting August 16 for your chance to win a free breakfast for the entire school year!
