Climb Out of the Darkness Columbus

September 19 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Climb Out of the Darkness, the world’s largest event raising funds and awareness of perinatal mood disorders is coming to Columbus for the first time on Sept. 19. Central Ohio families will show their support for survivors of postpartum depression (PPD), anxiety, OCD and psychosis, symbolizing their journey through the darkness by walking a mile together at Fancyburg Park in Upper Arlington.

Mental Health America of Ohio’s POEM Program, the Ohio chapter of PSI, provides support groups, mentoring, educational resources and specialized outreach for pregnant and parenting birthing people. Funds raised from the Sept. 19 event will benefit the Ohio Perinatal Mental Health Clinical Collaborative, an effort of a collective of Ohio maternal mental health specialized clinicians and POEM.
