November is here! November is a month full of gratitude and we hope you can find some joy throughout this month and be with those you are thankful for in your life! From craft markets to outdoor events, along with Veterans Day and Thanksgiving activities, this month is full of fun!

Through January 12: Paw Patrol Exhibit at COSI:| Step inside Adventure Bay to meet Marshall, Chase, Skye and the rest of the PAW Patrol squad as they demonstrate the strength that lies in working together towards a common goal.

November 1-3

November 1: Teen Night: 5:30 p.m. | Come to the Westerville Community Center for a night of fun!

November 1-2: Dracula: Delve into the depths of David Nixon’s mesmerizing Dracula as the legendary vampire returns to the stage.

November 1: Family Night: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at The Worthington Community Center | Unplug and connect with your loved ones at Family Night hosted by the Worthington Community Center. Kids of all ages are guaranteed to enjoy our FREE family-friendly activities, including open gyms, themed crafts, games, and passive play. It’s the perfect way to usher in the weekend!

November 1-17: Wife of a Salesman: Various times at Riffe Center | Inspired by the controversy surrounding the play God of Vengeance by Sholem Asch, which was produced on Broadway in 1923.

November 2: Home Depot Kids DIY Workshop: 9:00 a.m. | Make pumpkin tic tac toe this month! 

November 2: Worthington Farmers’ Market: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | The market moves inside this month at the Shops at The Worthington Mall!

November 2: Holly Day Bazaar: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Westerville | The 34th Holly Day Bazaar has expanded to include nearly 50 talented artisans & makers in addition to the popular Raffle Baskets, Children’s Gift Shoppe (Secret Santa), Cafe, and pictures with Santa! $3 entry includes a raffle ticket (12 and under free) ~ bring a non-perishable food for @Westerville Area Resource Ministry for an extra raffle ticket!

November 2-3: Yoga with Sloths: After the class, treat yourself to a light snack and a complimentary mimosa (ages 21 and over only). Explore the sloth-themed raffle and see a sloth up-close after your yoga session! Each ticket purchase includes a complimentary t-shirt that will be given to you at the event.

November 3: Bingo Board Making: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Children will experience an afternoon of BINGO, board games, overall fun, and socializing with senior friends!

November 3: Dia De Los Muertos: Regular hours at Columbus Museum of Art | Celebrate the rich origins of Día de los Muertos at CMA with day-long offerings to connect, and honor our loved ones who have departed. Enjoy $5 admission for members all day; children 3 and under are free.

November 3: Free Community Days: Come out to the Franklin Park Conservatory for a family day! Free for Franklin County residents

November 3: The Magic of Mowtown: 7:00 p.m. at Palace Theater | Get your tickets for this awesome show today!

November 4, 5, 6: Factory Tours at Anthony Thomas: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Reserve your spot today every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

November 5 and 7: Toddler Time at Get Air: 10:00 a.m. – Noon | Special time set for your little ones! All Tuesdays and Thursdays!

November 7: Fall Fest: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Wyman Woods| Hayrides, Plinko, fenced-in dog park, leaf pile and zombie hikes! Come out to Grandview and enjoy the fun!

November 7: Holidays on High Sip and Shop: Get your shopping done early with Worthington shops open late!

November 8: Family Night: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at The Worthington Community Center | Kids of all ages are guaranteed to enjoy FREE family-friendly activities, including open gyms, themed crafts, games, and passive play. It’s the perfect way to usher in the weekend!

November 8: Story Time and Book Signing at Coffee Connections of Hilliard: 9:00 a.m. at Coffee Connections | Join local author Mesha Griffith for a story time featuring her book The Bedtime Mantra. There will also be crafts and coffee!

November 8: T. rex: The Ultimate Predator at COSI: Visit the newest exhibition at COSI! Learn all about the T. rex through life-sized casts and engaging interactives. Included with admission through March 2, 2025.

November 8: Little Adventures at Columbus Museum of Art: 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. | Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers can take a kid-friendly tour of the Columbus Museum of Art that includes storytelling and play! This activity is free for members and $20 for nonmembers. Register online.

November 8: Preschool: Meet the Animals at Highbanks Nature Center: 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.| Meet educational animals close up at the Highbanks Nature Center. Enjoy a story, a craft and a scavenger hunt, too. Ages 3-5.  Event takes place at both time slots.

November 8: Lantern Hike at Walnut Woods Tall Pines Area: 6:00 p.m. at Walnut Woods | Take a walk through the Tall Pines area at Walnut Woods Metro Park. A limited number of lanterns will be available. Bring a flashlight or headlamp!

November 8-10: U.S. Marine Corps Birthday Weekend at National Veterans Memorial and Museum: Celebrate the 249th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps with $5 admission to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum.

November 9: Harvest Market in Dublin: Shop handpicked vendors to fill your bag with fall and seasonal favorites. Enjoy fresh produce, sweet treats, live entertainment, and more at the Harvest Market.

November 9: Veterans March & Ceremony in Canal Winchester :10:00 a.m. | A Veterans March will take place in downtown Canal Winchester. A ceremony will follow.

November 9: March Through Time at Ohio History Center: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m .| Explore Ohio’s military history with daily programs and activities at Ohio History Center on Saturday and Sunday. There will be an open storage World War 1 Display, military uniforms and medals, educational activities and more.

November 9: Fall Crafts at Blacklick Woods:1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Stop by the Nature Center at Blacklick Woods to do a fall-themed craft.

November 9: Saturday Music Series at Gahanna Library: 2:00 p.m .| Enjoy a performance by the youth ensemble Urban Strings. They will perform upbeat music from popular African-American composers and arrangers on Saturday at the Gahanna Branch of CML.

November 10: Hilliard Veterans Day Parade: 2:00 PM celebrate Veterans with a parade beginning at Franklin County Fairgrounds and ending at. Roger A. Reynolds Park. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial.

November 10: Kids Yoga at Westerville Public Library: 2:00 p.m. | Kids ages 6-11 can stretch, meditate and learn yoga.

November 10: Promusica Family Concert at Hilliard Library: 3:00 p.m. | Family-friendly concert!

November 10: The Hundred Acre Woods After Dark at Blendon Woods Metro Park: 5:30 p.m. | Take a 1.5 mile hike in the dark forest to look for nocturnal animals at Blendon Woods at 5:30 PM on Sunday. Bring a flashlight and hiking shoes.

November 11-17

November 11: Veteran’s Day Parade: Dublin: 11:00 a.m. | Come support and celebrate our Veterans!

November 11: Veteran’s Day Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. | Come to the National Veterans Memorial Museum for the ceremony and free admission.

November 15-17: The Descendants: The Musical: Performing at the Abby Theater: Tickets are $12!

November 16: Autumn Fest at North Market Bridge Park: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Enjoy festive music, raffles, and handmade gifts!

November 16: Worthington Farmers’ Market: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | The market moves into the Shops at Worthington for the winter season. Come check it out!

November 16: All Ohio Reptile Show: 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Come to see your favorite reptiles!

November 16: Create it Saturdays: Holiday Edition | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Stop by to make an ornament at The Ohio Craft Museum.

November 16: Opening Day of Think Outside the Brick at Columbus Museum of Art: Museum-wide scavenger hunt, lego brick building zone and so much more!

November 16: Seeds of Caring’s Stocking Stuffers: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 am at Columbus Metropolitan Library: Children will learn about housing and resource insecurity, and how we can all lend a helping hand during the holiday season. Then, families will help spread holiday cheer by packing stockings stuffed with treats and toys for children of families served by Home for Families.

November 17: Not Your Mama’s Holiday In Person Craft Market # 1: 11:00 a.m. at The KEE, downtown Columbus | The best handmade businesses will be joining for this indoor/outdoor market with food trucks, a bar, a photo booth, and amazing makers.

November 17: S’mores at Blendon Woods: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Come roast marshmallows and learn about how animals prepare for winter.

November 18-24

November 21-23: Christmas Corner: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Free admission and 65-holiday craft booths! Three days again this year!

November 21-23: A Chorus Line: Put on by the New Albany High School!

November 21: Zoo Lights Opens!: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | This event includes millions of LED lights, musical light shows, Rudolph in 4D, meet and greet characters, and more for MEMBERS only tonight!

November 22: Bake Sale at The Ronald Mcdonald House: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at RMC | Buy baked goods from local bakers and support charity! You can pre-order the famous pumpkin rolls too!

November 22: Butch Bando’s Lights Drive-Thru: 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday- Thursday and 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday | This amazing drive-thru event returns this month!

November 22: Preschool: Turkeys at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park: Learn about turkeys on Friday at 9:30 AM at Battelle Darby Creek Nature Center. There will be a craft, story and activities. For ages 3-5.

November 22-23: Ohio Made Market: 10:00 a.m. at The Hollywood Casino | Local Artisans will be teaming up to create a safe event for wonderful handmade market items this holiday season.

November 22-24: Holly Jolly Lights at The McCoy Cabin: 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. |Walk through this outdoor lights display on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 24. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available for purchase. This is the last weekend for discounted tickets ($5/person). After that, it will be $7/person. Or you can purchase a season pass for $7/person. Tickets are available online

November 22: Easton’s Grand Illumination: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Live music, a visit from Santa, a carol sing-along, and two million lights!

November 22:Lantern Hike at Scioto Grove Metro Park: 6:00 p.m. | Go on a 2-mile hike with lanterns on Friday night at 6:00 PM at Scioto Grove Metro Park.

November 22: Family Night: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at The Worthington Community Center | Kids of all ages are guaranteed to enjoy our FREE family-friendly activities, including open gyms, themed crafts, games, and passive play. It’s the perfect way to usher in the weekend! This week’s theme is TURKEYS!

November 22- January 5: Wildlights at The Zoo: Check the website for times at The Columbus Zoo | You need to add this to your family traditions if you haven’t already! Member preview night is November 16.

November 22- January 2: Holiday Lights at The Columbus Commons: Dusk- 11:00 p.m. | Be sure to check their website for updates on a date for this free dazzling light show!

November 23: Girls on the Run: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at The Columbus Commons | Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment.

November 23: Thanksgiving Market at German Village Society: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Thanksgiving-themed market!

November 23-24: Hoover Garden Holiday Open House: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hoover Garden Center | Warm yourself with hot chocolate and cookies as you are surrounded by the wonder of Christmas. The lights and smells will take you back to the days when excitement filled the air in anticipation of Christmas Day! Grinch makes an appearance, paint your own ornament and J Meatball food truck will be on the grounds!

November 23: Thanksgiving Meal Kits and Hands-on Help: 9:30 –
11:30 am at The Open Shelter  | Come assemble Thanksgiving Meal
Kits, participating in decorative tasks, and supporting The Open Shelter with their
mission!

November 23: Barnabe’s Buckeye Tree Lighting Ceremony at Young’s Dairy: On Saturday from 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM, enjoy music, holiday treats, Santa, Scarlett the Elf and Barnabe. The Buckeye tree will be lit at 6:30 PM.

November 23: A Winter Wonderland: 7:00 p.m.  | Come to the Lincoln Theater for this show!

November 23: A Celtic Christmas: Live on Stage at The Palace Theater.

November 23: An Evening with John Stewart: Come laugh at the Ohio Theater!

November 23- January 5: Franklin Park Conservatory Aglow: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Come to see the brilliant lights all throughout the Conservatory and Children’s Garden this year! Please see their website as special rates apply and times this year for members as the aglow event begins at 5:00 p.m.

November 24: The Blue Pup Kick off to Christmas: 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | This show includes the Blue and Orange Pups, Elf on a Shelf, Mrs. Claus, Santa and a meet and greet after the show. There will be mini sleigh rides, soft play, crafts and more on Sunday at the Shops of Worthington Place from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM. Cost is $40 for a family and tickets are available online.

November 24: New Albany Tree Lighting: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Festive music, carriage rides, cookie decorating and so much more at this holiday event!

November 24: Not Your Mama’s Holiday In Person Craft Market # 2: 11:00 a.m. in Dublin| The best of handmade businesses will be joining for this indoor/outdoor market with food tracks, a bar, photo booth, and amazing makers.

November 24: Holiday Lights Celebration in Gahanna: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in Gahanna | The excitement of Gahanna’s Holiday Lights Celebration begins with family-friendly events that include a live reindeer petting zoo, horse‑drawn carriage rides, crafts, games and activities, bands and more!

November 24: Buckeye Comic Con: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Comic Book Convention with comics, toys, collectibles, and prizes. $5 admission- cash only.

November 24: Hip Hop Nutcracker: 7:00 p.m. | A holiday mash-up for the whole family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker returns for another spectacular tour at The Palace Theater.

November 25-30

November 26: A Christmas Story: Free Screening: Showing at The McCoy Center!

November 27: Old School Skate: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Come out and skate at Skate Zone!

November 27: Sweet Turkeys at The Franklin Park Conservatory: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Make Turkey Themed Sweet Treats! Reservations are required.

November 28: Flying Feather 4 miler: Register today for this fun run and run off your turkey!

November 29: Create A Gingerbread House: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Spend a sweet day with friends and family creating a mini house with graham crackers, icing and candy.

November 29: Holiday Bazaar: 3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Enjoy the Licking Country Courthouse Lighting after too!

November 29-December 1: A Christmas Carol: CAPA, along with its partners at Short North Stage, will bring to life a brand-new, original production of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, at the Ohio Theatre on Thanksgiving weekend

November 29: Lucy Depp Park Light Show: Located in Powell and this light show covers 6 houses, 7 1/2 acres, and 40,000 lights! Runs Sunday- Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on weekends. Runs until New Year’s Day. Keeps getting bigger each year!

November 29-December 30, 2024: Clifton Mill Lights: 5:00 p.m. | Legendary! Clifton Mill truly is a delight and beautiful to see in person. (Closes at 8 pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas.)

November 29: Dazzling Christmas Lights in Westerville: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. | First night for the show! The display is one house with over 100,000 Dazzling Christmas Lights that dance to music. Tune your car radio to 90.1 fm. and bring can food items for Warm. You can also play the music from your phone this year too. The display runs November 29 to December 31 Sunday-Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m- weather dependent. This is a free event all season long.

November 30: Cirque Christmas: 8:00 p.m. at The Palace Theater | Embrace the holiday spirit with A MAGICAL CIRQUE CHRISTMAS, a variety show full of nostalgia, charm, and awe-inspiring performances for all ages.

Maureen Ingham
Maureen Ingham has enjoyed living in the great city of Columbus for nearly 13 years! Originally from Canton, Ohio, Maureen attended Ohio University and will always be a bobcat at heart! After completing her education degree in Athens, she made her way to The Ohio State University to obtain a Masters degree in Special Education. She fell in love with Columbus then and convinced her now husband to join her in this awesome city! She taught 5th grade for 6 years, before deciding to stay home to raise two beautiful girls. Their family has recently moved to Worthington with their two girls and are excited to plant their roots here! Their first daughter, Maeve is 6 and her sister, Reese will soon be 5 years old. They welcomed a son, Miles in March 2020. Maureen has been with The Columbus Moms Blog since the beginning and now enjoys working on editing and events for the blog. She also works as a Postpartum Doula with her sister at a company called Together Wee Grow. They provide night nursing services, as well as daytime support to local families and babies in Columbus. It is a wonderful job to work along her sister and help families with their precious little ones in a vulnerable time period. In between the night shifts, sweeping up crumbs, exploring Columbus, and getting kids to where they need to be, Maureen enjoys working out, trying new recipes and restaurants, traveling, spending time with family, being crafty and trying to help others whenever she can! Maureen has many Columbus favorites. Her go-to restaurant is Third and Hollywood, she enjoys a sweet treat at Sassafrass Bakery or Fox in the Snow, a slice of pizza at Dewey's Pizza and a warm cup of joe at Highline Coffee. A perfect Saturday involves an outdoor activity with her family and trying a new restaurant when they can! She is excited to be a part of an excellent team here at Columbus Moms blog and hopes to be able to inspire mothers that small acts of kindness go a long way in raising their kids and the city they live in!
