November is here! November is a month full of gratitude and we hope you are able to find some joy throughout this month and safely be with those you are thankful for in your life! This month there are many outdoor movies, some socially distanced craft shows that will take place, as well as Christmas activities starting at the end of the month! 

*Keep in mind that during this pandemic many events are cancelling, postponing or altering activities that were originally planned. Be sure to use the links to check directly for the most up to date information.

Malificents Villian Spootakular: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at New Albany Links and 4:00- 5:30 p.m. at Golf Club of Dublin | Enjoy a child friendly Hallo Performance with singing, dancing, interactive skits! Wear your costumes! $25 per person.

The Breakfast Club Beer Tasting: 2:00 p.m. at Studio 35 | Must buy your ticket in advance. Tickets are $40 dollars which include pint glass, raffle prizes, 10 beer samples, and showing. Masks are a MUST.

Columbus Crew Game: 3:30 p.m. at Mapfre Stadium | Get your tickets today!

Home Depot Kids DIY Workshop: Each kit pack includes a certificate of completion, an apron pin and a Kids Workshop apron. Easy enough for a 5-year old, but fun for all ages, this pre-cut wooden kit encourages creativity and instills a sense of accomplishment.

Worthington Farmer’s Market Indoor: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | The market moves indoors for the season but still has many great seasonal items! Be sure to check back to make sure the market is moving indoors- vendors are still deciding!

It’s Election Day!

Mindful Nature Walk: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Rose Run Park | Rejuvenate yourself with mindful nature walks. Deepen your connection with nature while walking in a slow relaxed way, quieting the mind and engaging your senses. You will explore nature and movement through the seasons. The walks are suitable for all! Free.

Chihuly Night: 7:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. at The Franklin Park Conservatory | Guests can view the Conservatory Collection with 19 installations that will be professionally lit. Special Engagement Admission rates apply.

November Open House: 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Come one, come all! Join The Little Gym for their Open House! Open to new friends who have yet to check out The Little Gym and their awesome programs!

Books and Brews Virtual Event: 7:00 p.m. with Worthington Library | Zoom tasting features two of Columbus’s most popular breweries- Seventh Son and Wolf’s Ridge and you will get to vote for your favorite at the end of the event.

Moonlight Movies: 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 at Polaris Fashion Place | Grab a blanket and snacks and see Spiderman tonight. Reserve your spot on Eventbrite, but the event is free!

Sleepy Hollow Movie: 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Ohio History Center | Come out to see The Nightmare Before Christmas. As you leave the drive-in hear a retelling of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and see some of your favorite All Hallows’ Eve scenes. Cost is $40 per car.

Handmade Holiday Market: 10:00 a.m. at The Design Refinery | Local Artisans will be teaming up to create a safe event for wonderful handmade market items this holiday season.

Fall Festival: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.| Hayrides, game and festivities, petting zoo, food trucks, family fun for all in Hilliard!

Gift of Light, Mind, Body, Spirit Expo: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Free seminars for all! $10 per adult and kids 12 and under are free.

The Great Mrs. Claus Book Signing: 3:30-5:30 p.m. at City Style Children’s Boutique | Join childrens book Author, Chris Shoemaker & The Great Mrs Claus for a booking signing & Entertainment at City Style Childrens Boutique.

Veteran’s Day Free Day at the Zoo!: 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. at The Columbus Zoo | Honoring veterans for their sacrifices with free admission.

Thanksgiving Drive Thru Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | RSVP required.
Free to attend; however, Smiths Mill Health Campus will be accepting food and cash donations for the New Albany Food Pantry.

Veteran’s Day Celebration: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | The Veterans Memorial Committee of Gahanna will host an observance and memorial brick dedication from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 73 W. Johnstown Road

Moonlight Movies: 7:30 p.m. at Polaris Fashion Place | Showing How to Train Your Dragon. One ticket per vehicle needed, although free, you must register through Eventbrite. Come out with a blanket and snacks!


November 14

Wine for Wildlife: 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. | A Virtual event put on by the zoo!

Stockhand Read with Horses: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Reading has the ability to take us on journeys we never imagined. Add in the healing power of horses, and we have the power to go anywhere and do anything we once thought impossible.

Columbus Sports Card Show: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Columbus Sports Card Show is the largest and oldest sports card show in Ohio. With dealers from 8 states, you’re sure to find something! From vintage, new cards, autographs, memorabilia, non sport, racing, & supplies, dealers are ready to buy & sell.

November 14- January 10

Franklin Park Conservatory Aglow: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Come to see the brilliant lights all throughout the Conservatory and Children’s Garden this year!  Please see their website as special rates apply and times this year for members as the aglow event begins at 5:00 p.m.

Crimson Cup Clintonville and Cousins Maine Lobster: 11:00 a.m. | A great combo for a Sunday lunch!

An Evening with Watershed Distillery: 6:00 p.m. | Celebration of local flavors with a five course dinner. Limited seating for social distancing.

Wildlights at The Zoo: Check website for times at The Columbus Zoo | You need to add this to your family traditions if you haven’t already! Members-only night is Thursday, November 19, 2020.

Christmas Corner: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Free admission and 65 holiday craft booths! Two days again this year!

Ninja Citi Columbus National Ninja League Competition | Come out and compete or buy a spectator ticket!

All Ohio Reptile Show: 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Come to see your favorite reptiles!

Not Your Mama’s Holiday In Person Craft Market # 1: 12:00 p.m. at Via Vecchia Winery | The best of handmade businesses will be joining for this indoor/outdoor market with food tracks, a bar, photo booth, and amazing makers.


November 22

Holiday Tree Lighting New Albany: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Festive music, carriage rides, cookie decorating and so much more at this holiday event!

Columbus Winter Avant-Garde Art and Craft Show: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | It’s officially holiday shopping time! This show will feature a variety of artists and crafters selling their original handmade items at this beautiful venue! Admission is $3 to the public.

November 22

Holiday Lights Celebration in Gahanna: 3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in Gahanna | This will be a virtual event this year. They will have holiday train rides in December and Gingerbread Town. This will allow for social distancing and a fun way to see the lights on your own schedule!

November 26

Thanksgiving Skate: 6:00 p.m. at Skate Zone 71 | Come burn off your Thanksgiving calories!

November 26, 2020 – January 2, 2021

Griswold Delaware: begins at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving and runs through January 2. This house and the yard are decked out with lights. It sure is a sight to see in person!


November 27-29

Hoover Garden Holiday Open House: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hoover Garden Center  | Welcome the holiday season with cookies and hot cider! If weather permits, KB Dawgs food cart will be joining as well.  Create memories with your little by painting ornaments to take home with you! Stroll through the gardens and take in the lovely sights of the holidays, while picking out your family’s live cut tree (the best selection in Columbus!), live greenery and other Christmas decor.

November 27

Clifton Mill Lights: 5:00 p.m. | Clifton Mill Lights turn on the day after Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve! Masks are required as well as limited number inside the buildings. Runs until December 30.

Dazzling Christmas Lights in Westerville: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. | First night for the show! The display is one house with over 100,000 Dazzling Christmas Lights that dance to music. Tune your car radio to 90.1 fm. and bring can food items for Warm. You can also play the music from your phone this year too. The display runs November 27 to December 31 Sunday-Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. This is a free event all season long.

November 27- January 2

Holiday Lights at The Columbus Commons: Dusk- 11:00 p.m. | Be sure to check their website for updates on date for this free dazzling light show!


November 28

Not Your Mama’s Craft Market at BrewDog Hotel: Come shop at the beautiful taproom! Come celebrate small business Saturday!


November 29

Lucy Depp Park Light Show: Located in Powell and this light show covers 5 houses, 5 1/2 acres, and 40, 000 lights! Runs Sunday- Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on weekends. Runs until New Year’s Day.

Swim With Santa: 6:15-7:30 | Get your photo taken with Santa as he swims in the pool with the lifeguard elves! Photos and time with Santa are included in this fun annual event for ages 0-11 and parents. Parents with children under 6 must be in the water with their children. Registration required. No charge for parents.

Maureen Ingham
Maureen Ingham has enjoyed living in the great city of Columbus for nearly 13 years! Originally from Canton, Ohio, Maureen attended Ohio University and will always be a bobcat at heart! After completing her education degree in Athens, she made her way to The Ohio State University to obtain a Masters degree in Special Education. She fell in love with Columbus then and convinced her now husband to join her in this awesome city! She taught 5th grade for 6 years, before deciding to stay home to raise two beautiful girls. Their family has recently moved to Worthington with their two girls and are excited to plant their roots here! Their first daughter, Maeve is 6 and her sister, Reese will soon be 5 years old. They welcomed a son, Miles in March 2020. Maureen has been with The Columbus Moms Blog since the beginning and now enjoys working on editing and events for the blog. She also works as a Postpartum Doula with her sister at a company called Together Wee Grow. They provide night nursing services, as well as daytime support to local families and babies in Columbus. It is a wonderful job to work along her sister and help families with their precious little ones in a vulnerable time period. In between the night shifts, sweeping up crumbs, exploring Columbus, and getting kids to where they need to be, Maureen enjoys working out, trying new recipes and restaurants, traveling, spending time with family, being crafty and trying to help others whenever she can! Maureen has many Columbus favorites. Her go-to restaurant is Third and Hollywood, she enjoys a sweet treat at Sassafrass Bakery or Fox in the Snow, a slice of pizza at Dewey's Pizza and a warm cup of joe at Highline Coffee. A perfect Saturday involves an outdoor activity with her family and trying a new restaurant when they can! She is excited to be a part of an excellent team here at Columbus Moms blog and hopes to be able to inspire mothers that small acts of kindness go a long way in raising their kids and the city they live in!
