Now that spring has arrived, it’s time to spruce up our spaces with some bright and fresh new looks. If you’re like me, you are constantly stalking at least 2 or 3 of your favorite interior designers on either IG or Pinterest. Not only are you drooling over ALL the design goodness, but you’re also trying to figure out how to get the look for less. There are great ways to update your space on a budget. Just a few items and even paint can make the biggest impact, creating a new vibe.
Three of my favorite items include:
1. I know, I know white walls with kids. Call me crazy, but I love it! It makes everything look and feel clean. White is white, right? Well of course not! The designers picks are here.
2. On your weekly visit(s) to the market start buying a fresh bouquet of flowers. Checkout Trader Joe’s they have a variety of options for the low. Then, find a favorite vase (one that you already own or buy a reasonably priced one at Target, TJMaxx HomeGoods or a second-hand store). In addition to being beautiful, flowers add an instant pop of color and look radiant in any space.
3. Adding a new runner in the kitchen or high traffic areas (hallway) would also do the trick here.
Here are seven more items I have rounded up to help your home feel ready for spring for under $100:
4. Swap out or add throw pillows here.
5. I’m sure we all have a few kitchen dining chairs that have seen their better days. Well, why not a better time to modernize your space. Yes, mixing and matching traditional and modern is quite alright here!
6. Invest in a pretty wicker basket or.. two for an indoor plant (fiddle leaf) or to hide shoes or toys here.
7. A table lamp on the entry console or at your bedside here.
8. A pretty mirror here.
9. Wall art using black and white frames is versatile here. Pairing with black and white photos looks great! Consider creating a wall gallery of family photos.
10. A designer staple piece that will never go out of style can be found here.
