Well, Halloween is over, so you know what that means… Christmas music! Whether you like it or not, it’s about time to get your merry on.
Let me just stop you right there, Thanksgiving purists: I know. Believe me, Thanksgiving gets its due in my life. We don’t decorate for Christmas until the weekend after turkey day. But a month is not nearly enough time to listen to the Christmas music I love so and think Christmasy thoughts, so just know I hear you, but juuuuust barely over the sounds of the carols.
So when the radio turns to Christmas music, my thoughts turn to gifts, decorations and one of my favorite things – Christmas cards. Seriously – is there a more exciting time of year to check the mailbox? No. Getting holiday cards is such a bright spot in the craziness that December days can become.
Just as much fun for me? Picking holiday cards – and designing them too. Besides my mom and blogger life, I’m also a stationery designer, and this time of year is, well, conveniently enough, like our Christmas.
I wanted to share a few of my very favorite designs (and a few from a couple other local mama designers too) available as part of Minted‘s holiday collection. If you’ve never heard of Minted, well, definitely check it out. It’s an amazing site to shop for invitations, announcements, home decor and art – all designed by a community of independent artists like me. So even while you’re shopping an international brand, you can still support a local artist by buying his or her work.

An added plus to Minted’s cards? FREE recipient addressing on envelopes designed to match your card! You upload your addresses and they take care of getting them on the envelopes. Makes life so much easier – and prettier!

If you’re new to Minted, you can sign up through this link to get $25 off your first purchase of $100 or more. And if all that doesn’t get you excited enough, Minted will be providing a $50 credit to their site to one lucky Columbus Moms Blog reader! Head over to our Facebook page to see how you can enter!

I LOVE the Give Glory design!!!
Thanks so much, Helen! I really appreciate that!
We love the “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” design so much we used it for our holiday cards this year. Think anyone would notice if we used it again? Love it so much. I think we used a rose foil and it was delightful!
