The mission of 2nd & 7 is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward.
Our Tackling Illiteracy program encourages 2nd graders to read and provides each of those children with a visit from a student-athlete role model and a new book to take home.
In the NEW Columbus Kids’ Book Bank, we accept NEW & VERY GENTLY used K-6 books to be distributed to local classrooms and organizations that serve children in central Ohio. We need the help of individuals, teams, and businesses in our community to help us the the collection, sorting, and distribution of books.
Our annual football camp is one of the biggest fundraisers that supports our mission. Our camp promises to be one of the best camps of the summer for your child. This camp focuses on the fundamentals of football in a non-contact setting, with some of the best coaches around. Kids ages 7-14 are treated to 3 days of drills, guest speakers, great food and a lot of fun! Proceeds from camp support our mission to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward.
