Alum Creek Park North is the City’s first park, dedicated in 1936. It includes an amphitheater, shelter house, cabin for the Boy Scouts, basketball courts, sand volleyball and a playground. Playground has a train and large sand area too!
This 34.5 acre park features tennis and basketball courts, a playground, ball diamond and just under one mile of walking trails. There is also plenty of green space, ponds, catch and release fishing, heated restrooms and a rentable, covered shelter.
Aquatic Center is located here along with tennis courts, soccer fields, shelters and picnic areas.
A Variety of gardens that are beautiful in each season, along with a playground, green space, feeding ducks or fishing as well as a stroll through the gardens or gazebo to explore and use imaginations!

A three-quarter mile paved trail, great for hiking, biking, running, or walking your leashed pet, winds through the park and connects to the 6.1-mile Heritage Rail Trail.
Inside the Scioto Audubon Metro Park is a small play area for kids, bird watching and a library with books.
Walk the grounds and explore. Towards the playground area is the rock climbing section and water tower where you can climb the steps to get a great view of downtown Columbus.
Thompson Park is a great destination for sports enthusiasts. There are 59 acres offering tennis and basketball courts, walking trails, a playground, and full-size athletic fields. The open air pavilion makes a great setting for picnics and reunions

This neighborhood park can be accessed from the Olentangy Trail or from withing the Worthington Estates neighborhood from Highgate Ave.
This playground has just been revamped and reopened recently. There’s a soft rubber surface at the playground with multiple climbing structures. The playground is enclosed with a fence and there are a few trees outside of the fence area to offer from shade. There is inclusive equipment such as ramps and swings that can be used by children of all abilities. On the playground structure, there are several interactive pieces that play music when pressed.
Near the playground are basketball courts, sand volleyball and tennis courts. There’s also a fishing pond and during the winter a hill to use for sledding.
This 653-acre park offers a waterfowl refuge & a nature center plus disc golf & ice-skating. Blendon Woods contains spectacular stream-cut ravines with exposed ripple rock sandstone and open fields surrounded by beech-maple and oak-hickory forests. The 653-acre park is a great place to see a variety of songbirds, waterfowl and other wildlife, especially the flock of wild turkeys meandering about in search of food. The 118-acre Walden Waterfowl Refuge with its 11-acre Thoreau Lake provides a sanctuary for hundreds of birds, ducks and other wildlife. Open year-round, it features two elevated observation shelters with spotting scopes for viewing waterfowl.
Olde Sawmill Park is located in Northwest Columbus, just north of 1-270 off of Sawmill Rd. The park features a playground, paved walking paths, a basketball court, a shelter house, picnic tables, and plenty of open space for outdoor activities.
Continue past the Delaware YMCA and you’ll find this park. There’s a HUGE playground and one of the most exciting features is the dinosaur skull slide. Seasonally, there is a dinosaur themed splash pad open and a concession stand. The bathrooms are very clean. There are shaded shelters to sit and eat. You could spend a long time at this park.
There’s lots to see and explore at this park. Close to one of the parking lot areas is the playground. Boating, fishing, hiking and checking out the Hoover Dam are popular activities here.
