British Swim School of North Columbus is the perfect place for swimmers of all ages and experience levels, with a variety of programs for children ages 3-months to adults.
We have been teaching water survival skills for more than 40 years, offering a three-part curriculum that teaches the skills needed for water acclimation, water survival, and stroke development. Swimmers progress from learning how to be safe in the water to mastering swimming strokes.
Our professional swim instructors receive extensive training to deliver an outstanding experience for every swimmer. Every swimming lesson incorporates our signature fun and gentle teaching methods to help inexperienced swimmers feel comfortable and confident in the water, establishing the foundation for a lifetime of safety and fun.
Enrollment is open year-round and new students can join at any time!
12 person hot tub and zero entry leisure pool area equipped with a kiddie slide and play features extending to a three and a half foot play area attached to a lazy river. Open swim time for members and day passes are available.
Large zero-depth entrance, six lane-lap pool, two large body slides, interactive water toys, and two aquatic climbing walls. Also, green space and lounge chairs. A non-resident may enter only as a guest of a resident or season pass holder.
North Bank Park is located along the Scioto River in downtown Columbus. Behind the pavilion on the upper-level plaza, there is an interactive fountain that will allow children to play and create memories. There are plenty of tables and chairs set up as well as lawn seating that faces the river which makes for a great spot for lunch. Parking can be an issue, but there are garages near the park. This is a smaller park and would make the perfect play date
The Powell Splash Pad, located in Village Green Park (47 Hall Street, Powell) is open from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day. Visitors can cool off or enjoy a meal under the Solar Pavilion (cannot be rented), walk along the multi-use path in Village Green Park or play at the nearby playground.
Stretching along the downtown riverfront from the vibrant Arena District to the natural beauty of the Whittier Peninsula, the Scioto Mile features lush parkland, fountains, scenic overlooks and a riverfront promenade.
A great combo of splash pad and dinosaur themed splash pad. A shelter is on the property that can be rented. There is a lot of shaded areas for lunch here and a place to cool off. Bathrooms are on site and is very kid friendly!
Visit the spray fountains at Ballantrae Community Park, 6350 Woerner Temple Rd. this summer. Dates of operation vary each year depending on weather, at the discretion of staff. To inquire, please call the Parks Operations office at 614.410.4700 during normal business hours (M-F 7:30a.m. – 4:00p.m).

Hilliard’s Station Park is located at the starting point of the seven-mile Heritage Trail in downtown Hilliard. Until the mid-20th century, this was the site of the city’s original town center, where Main Street and the old railroad station came together. The station is long gone but the city wants the site to be a center of activity again. Part of a phased revitalization effort to bring business and activity to downtown Hilliard, Hilliard’s Station Park is both a recreational hub for a nearby bike trail and a year-round event space for the community. The park contains an amphitheater, spray park, multi-functional building, a public restroom and storage/maintenance facility. Architectural features of the two buildings reflect the site’s past use as a train depot.
