Indoor Pools in Columbus

Indoor swimming pools are always a win! Whether it is 23 degrees in the middle of winter, or 91 degrees and thunderstorms, an indoor pool can be such a blast and a great way get the kids out of the house. Columbus has a number of spots that you can visit as a fun day trip outing. Let’s not forget another bonus of indoor pools- no sunscreen application is needed!

Here at Columbus Mom we wanted to share some of our favorite indoor pools in the Columbus.

  • Worthington Community Center
    • This pool is such fun indoor option for the kids. There is a lazy river, a vortex pool, zero entry and kid slide with fountains. There is also a hot tub and a lap pool for the adults.
    • Day rates:
      • All Ages $8

  • Prairie Township Pool
    • Diving board, zero entry pool, climbing wall and lap lanes open for swim! Great time for a dip in the pool!
    • Day Rates for residents and non-residents
      • Children 0-2 are free and prices for other age groups start at $3 a day.

  • Upper Arlington High School Sunday Open Swim
    • Runs on many Sundays from September – April from 1-3 you can enjoy the lap pool at the Upper Arlington High School. Check the schedule for dates!
    • Day Rates:
      • Resident: $3
      • Non-Resident: $4
      • Kids 2 and Under Free
  •  Westerville Community Pool
    • Fun kid structures, lazy river and zero entry! This is endless indoor fun for the kids so be sure to check this one out!
    • Day Rates:
      • Residents: Kids $7; Adults $10
      • Non-Residents: Kids $14 Adults $20

  • Columbus Aquatic Center
    • This centrally located swim center close to the Short North is a great little spot for a very reasonable dip in the the pool!
    • Day Rate: $5 for an individual or $10 a family
  • Dublin Recreation Center
    • Nice large indoor water slide, zero entry and small kiddy slide for all to enjoy
    • Day Rate:
      • Residents: Kids (3-17yrs) $8; Adults $10
      • Non-Residents: Kids (3-17yrs) $10; Adults $17
  • Groveport Recreation Center
    • Frog slide, family lazy river, zero depth entry
    • Residents: $8
    • Non-Residents: $12
  • Delaware YMCA (Other YMCA locations have indoor pools too-check out this list: indoor pools)
    • 2 indoor pools- one with a water playground.
    • Day passes are available.
    • $15 a person (Here’s information on daily rates.)
  • Goldfish Swim School
    • Offered at three of the four Central Ohio locations, check out the Dublin, Lewis Center and Westerville websites for days and time.
    • Cost is free for members. $10 per person, with a maximum of $30 per family.
