Summer in Columbus is jam packed with fun! There are so many concerts, festivals, outdoor movies and special events happening and so many of them are free! Take a look at our list of free events and I bet you could find something going on nearly every day of the week! Enjoy!

  • Lolli-Pops! Summer Children’s Concerts on Powell Village Green – Select Mondays, 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM – interactive concerts on the lawn!
  • Music on the Lawn at Grandview Heights Public Library – Tuesdays in June and July, 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM – concert on the lawn with a food truck on site!
  • Movies by Moonlight at Easton – Tuesdays at dusk – enjoy a movie on the Town Square!
  • FountainSide at Bicentennial Park – Select Wednesdays, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM – each week has a different theme, enjoy crafts, games and splashing in the fountains!
  • Family Concerts at Alum Creek Park North Amphitheater, Wednesdays, 6:30 PM – family friendly concerts every week! easton
  • Sounds on the Town Concerts at Easton – Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – concert series on the Town Square!
  • Celebration at the Station at Hilliard’s Station Park- Thursdays, concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. and food trucks are available.
  • Fryer Flicks on the Hill at Fryer Park – Thursdays at dusk – family friendly movies in Grove City!
  • Summer Performance Series at Coffman Park Amphitheater, concerts begin at 7:00 p.m on June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21- Toddler Theater.
  • Shakespeare in the Park at Schiller Park- Thursdays-Sundays at 8:00 p.m.
  • Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons – Fridays, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – inflatables, story time, games, activities, free carousel rides and much more!
  • Summer Fridays at the Statehouse – Fridays, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – lunchtime concert on the Statehouse lawn!
  • Summer Sizzle Concert Series at George Edge Music Park – Fridays, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – family-friendly concerts in Grove City!
  • Rhythm on the River at Bicentennial Park – select Fridays, 7:30 p.m. – concerts at park, Donatos sells pizza on site!topiary park
  • Movies Under the Stars at Topiary Park – Last Friday of the month, 8:00 p.m. – family-friendly movies shown at the park!
  • Bexley Main Event on Capital University’s Main Lawn – Select Fridays, 6:30 p.m. – kids crafts and activities precede a family-friendly movie!
  • Movies on the Mile at Bicentennial Park –  Select Fridays following Rhythm on the River Concerts. Concerts start at 7:30 p.m. – stay after the concert for a family friendly movie!
  • Creekside Live in Gahanna- 2nd & 4th Fridays in June, July and August. One band begins at 6 p.m. and the other starts at 7:30 p.m.
  • Grandview Hop – Last Saturday of the Month, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – sidewalk merchants, live performances and more!
  • Gallery Hop – First Saturday of the month, 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – galleries and shops stay open late, sidewalk performances, special events and more!
  • PBJ & Jazz Concerts in Topiary Park – Select Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – story hour, concert and crafts in Topiary Park!goodalepark
  • Goodale Park Music Series – Sundays at 12:30 p.m. – live music, food trucks and family friendly fun!
  • Sounds of Summer Concerts at Alum Creek Park North Amphitheater – Sundays, 6:30 p.m. – various concerts in the amphitheater in the park!
  • DAC Sundays at Scioto – Select Sundays, 7:00 p.m. – various musical tastes are represented in this series of concerts in the Scioto Park Amphitheater!
  • Concerts on the Green in Worthington – Sundays at 7:00 p.m. – family friendly concerts on the village green!
  • Summer Concert Series in Pickerington – Sundays at 7:00 p.m. – family friendly concerts in Sycamore Park!
  • Family Days at Pizzuti Collection – First Sunday of each month, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – the gallery is free on these days and families can take a guided tour, participate in an art scavenger hunt and kids get a free sketchbook! See more ideas for an art-themed outing to the Pizzuti Collection.

  • Watch Inside Out at Whetstone  Park – June 11, 2016, at dusk (about 8:30 p.m.) – family-friendly movie in the park!
  • Wex Drive-In at Wexner Center for the Arts- June 16, at dusk- This is an outdoor movie for adults (Moonrise Kingdom).  Enjoy pizza from Mickey’s Late Night Slice, beer from Seventh Son Brewing and Jeni’s Ice Cream.  Other dates: July 21- Psycho and August 18- Unstoppable
  • Columbus Children’s Festival at Fred Beekman Park – June 18, 2016, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – sports tournaments, family activities, fun zone, and more!
