How it is July already? It feels like summer is going too fast! The 4th of July may be the halfway point of summer, but we have lots of fun activities left to do!

In addition to our events, be sure to check out some summer ideas below!

July 1-4

July 1- July 7: Lion King: Come see this amazing musical on stage!

July 1-July 5: Military Free Days at Columbus Zoo: To honor the members of the military and the sacrifices made to serve our country, the Zoo is offering free Zoo admission and discounted Zoombezi Bay admission to all who are serving and have served our great nation, including their immediate family.

July 2-4: Free Summer Movies: Free select 10 a.m. showings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Lennox Town Center 24. Free admission for all ages and groups are welcome. Doors open at 9 a.m. and movie begins at 10 a.m. with two films to choose from. Event will run until August 8.

July 3: Red White and Boom: 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. | BOOM! is the largest single-day event in Columbus! Come out and enjoy the fun all day long!

July 3: Columbus Crew Game: 7:30 p.m. at Lower.com Field | Come out and cheer on the crew!

July 4: Independence Day Bike Parade: 10:00 a.m. at Orange Park | A patriotic celebration at Orange Township Hall Park, 1680 E Orange Rd. Bike Decorating will begin at 10 am. Decorated at home!? GREAT! The parade around the park will kick off at 10:30am! Flags, popsicles, and water will be handed out at the end of the race!

July 4: Doo Dah Parade: 1:00 p.m. at Goodale Park | Celebrate Liberty & Lunacy with traditional weird customs and costumes and funny opinions in the Short North Arts District & Goodale Park in the shade near the gazebo for the live music from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

July 4: Freedom Fest: 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. in Hilliard | Hilliard’s popular patriotic celebration! Complete with live music, food trucks, a Kids’ Zone, and fireworks.

July 4: Independence Day Parade Dublin:11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | The parade will be in the traditional format and begin at 11 a.m. Watch as bands, floats, dancers and more march through Historic Dublin.

July 4: Independence Day Celebration in Westerville: 10:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Begins with parade in the morning, with live music beginning at 5, followed by fireworks at night!

July 4: Groove is at The Yard: 6:00 p.m. at Easton | Grab a seat on a patio and enjoy the new series of acoustic music each Thursday.

July 4-6: Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park: 7:05 p.m.| Come see the Clippers play ball!

July 5: Free Scioto Milers Running Club: Find your new running crew this summer. The Scioto Milers meet Friday mornings at 6:30 am at Coleman’s Pointe for a run along the scenic 5k route on The Mile. Stay tuned for more information!

July 5: Fitness Yoga on the Square: 8:30 a.m. at Easton | Free yoga on the Square!

July 5: Red, White and Blue Swiftie Skate: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Taylor Swift Look Alike Contest and all your favorite songs!

July 5: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen. Mighty Ducks!

July 6, 13, 20, 27: Worthington Farmers’ Market: 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. |  Come out and shop local each Saturday morning!

July 6: The Music of Led Zepplin: Windborne Music and the Columbus Symphony present The Music of Led Zepplin is one you won’t want to miss!

July 6: Columbus Crew Game: 7:30 p.m. at Lower.com Field | Come out and cheer on the crew!

July 7: Community Days at Franklin Park Conservatory: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Join the Conservatory for Community Day at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens for a FREE day of fun on the first Sunday of every month (with Columbus or Franklin County ID)!

July 7: Columbus Crew 2: 6:00 | Come see the Crew 2 at the Old Historic Stadium!

July 7: Concerts on the Green: Live music each Sunday night on the green in Worthington!

July 9, 16, 23, 30: Hilliard Farmers’ Market: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Come out each Tuesday to support locals at the Hilliard United Methodist Church.

July 9: Summer Spray Down with Norwich Township: 1:00 p.m – 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Middle School | Cool off with a firehouse spray down!

July 10: Summer Fun Kits with Broad Street Food Pantry: 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. | Come out to learn about food insecurity in our community, help assemble summer fun kits, and tour Broad Street Food Pantry.

July 10: Farmers’ Market at Franklin Park Conservatory: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Come out each Wednesday to get your fresh produce!

July 11: Hilliard Celebration at the Station: 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. | Enjoy live music in Downtown Hilliard with family and friends every Thursday evening. Alan Carl tonight!

July 12: Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Columbus Commons, kids of all ages can enjoy activities like free carousel rides, lawn games, and activities by community partners. This week’s theme is Carnival Day.

July 12-13: Columbus Food Truck Festival on the Scioto Peninsula: On Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM enjoy a variety of food trucks, an artisan market, Columbus Vintage Exchange and live music.

July 12-13: Midway on the Mile: Midway on the Mile is a free event on Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM on the Rich Street Bridge. This is a carnival-style event with a trackless train, obstacle course, wipeout attraction and more

July 12: Franklinton Friday: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Tour open studios and new gallery exhibitions with food trucks on site too!

July 12: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen.The Blind Side tonight!

July 12: Movies in the Park at Sunny 95 Park: Watch the movie Wish in Sunny 95 Park on Friday at 7:00 PM. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

July 12: Free Family Movie Night at Columbus Commons: 8:15 | Watch Ratatouille at The Columbus Commons. The movie follows a Popcorn Pops concert that is ticketed so the park will not open until 8:00 PM. Free popcorn while supplies last!

July 13: History Myth Busting at Ohio Village:10:00 AM – 5:00 PM in Ohio Village, learn about some of the most common myths and misconceptions from the 19th century. There will be family-friendly activities, experiments and more.

July 13: Big Splash at Three Creeks: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Try out canoeing, slide down a water slide, play in the squirt zone or look for critters in a table-top pond at Three Creeks Metro Park Confluence Area.

July 13: Dozers and Diggers at The Works: 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | Families are invited to get an up-close view of the trucks, lifts, bull dozers, and other big machines that get things done in our community. Jump in, climb around, and speak to the people who operate these extraordinary machines! The day includes live demonstrations & family activities.

July 13: Butcher Block Party at Carfagnas: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM enjoy a live DJ, Food trucks, face painting, cornhole, drink specials, free samples and more! Tickets are not required but they are asking for an RSVP for planning purposes.

July 13: Summer Saturdays: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Tanger Outlets | Join for FREE Family Fun! There’s live music, food trucks, sidewalk sales, and more! Second Saturdays activities take place near Nike.

July 13: Make Your Own Gemstone Necklace at Olentangy Caverns: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Create your own wire-wrapped necklace with a gemstone you find while gem mining at Olentangy Caverns! The workshop includes all materials including 1 bag of gem mining paydirt. Time slots are available!

July 13: Tacos and Tequila: 1:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. in Grove City Historic Town Center | You can grab food from Latin food trucks and partake in high-end tequila tastings. On the corner of Park Street and Broadway.

July 13: Moonlight Market: 5:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at Markets at Pearl | Come shop local at this fun event!

July 13: Free Kayak Day on the Scioto Mile: Experience free kayaking, tandem kayaking and SUP rentals on the Scioto River this Saturday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The boat launch is under the Main Street Bridge near Bicentennial Park.

July 13: Superhero Night at Franklin Park Conservatory: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.| Break out those superhero costumes and come to the Conservatory for a night of superhero-themed Family Fun. You can take a ride on the trackless train with costumed superhero characters, try your superhero skills at the pint-sized obstacle course, and draw your favorite superhero while watching chalk artist Lori Hughes create amazing superhero-themed art.

July  13-14: Columbus Book Festival: Celebrate all things literary at the Columbus Book Festival. Now in its second year, The Columbus Book Festival includes book signings from your favorite authors, panel discussions, food and so much more fun at the Columbus Metropolitan Library.

July 13-14: Taylor Swift Cover Band: Kanin Wren touring at Woodlands Tavern! Kanin Wren’s Taylor Swift Experience is widely recognized as the best live Taylor Swift tribute act in the Midwest, captivating audiences with her unparalleled talent and dedication to recreating the magic!

July 14: Sundays with the Symphony at Woodward Park: 6:45 p.m. | Enjoy a free concert by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Woodward Park on Sunday. The music starts at 7:00 PM and free ice cream will be available beginning at 6:45 p.m .

July 14: Kid Rave 3 at Skully’s Music Diner: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Skully’s Music Diner there will be a live DJ, face painting, arts and crafts and vendors. This event is for kids ages 4-12 and their accompanying adult and aims to introduce kids to electronic music. Tickets are available online.

July 15-July 21: Franklin County Fair: Times vary each day | Most attractions and performances are FREE with admission (excluding select Grandstand events, rides, games and food.)

July 17: Columbus Crew Game: 7:30 p.m. at Lower.com Field | Come out and cheer on the crew!

July 17, 24, 31: Farmers’ Market at Franklin Park Conservatory: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Come out each Wednesday to get your fresh produce!

July 18: Summer Music Series: 5:00 pm. – 7:00 p.m. in Dublin | Come out and enjoy live music in Dublin!

July 18: Celebration at the Station: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Music at the Station with a new band each week. DORA event! Audio Graffiti tonight!

July 18: Third Thursday Night Market: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Shops open late in Old Worthington along with fun activities and a DORA event!

July 18-21 Miami Valley Steam Threshers: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Pastime Park in Plain City | You will be able to enjoy large display of tractors, steam and gas engines, but also watch them being used in our demonstrations throughout the day. Lawn mower pulls, a grand parade through downtown, touch a truck/tractor, steam engine spark show, tractor/truck pulls and so much more, all included for $5 admission.

July 19: The Magic of David Anthony at Hilliard Library: 10:00 a.m. at The Hilliard Branch Library | Enjoy a lively magic show with music, juggling and more!

July 19: Commons for Kids at Columbus Commons: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Columbus Commons, kids of all ages can enjoy activities like free carousel rides, lawn games, and activities by community partners. This week’s theme is Sports + Fitness!

July 19: Storytime at Highbanks Metro Park: 1:00 PM at Highbanks Metro Park. Meet in the Oak Coves picnic area. This storytime will feature crafts and other activities while learning about nature and is for great for kids ages 2-5

July 19: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen. Cars to play tonight!

July 19: Music in the Park in Canal Winchester: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Stradley Park | Cruise-In Car Show and other free activities like balloon animals, live performances, face painting and live music by The Gas Pump Jockeys.

July 19: Screen on the Green at Goodale Park: 7:00 PM enjoy food vendors before watching Barbie on a giant screen at Goodale Park. The movie will start at sunset!

July 19: Grove City Summer Sizzle Concert Series: Enjoy the charm of the historic Town Center set to music Friday evenings as open-air concerts fill the warm summer air. When and Where: 7-8:30 p.m., Town Center Park, 3359 Park St. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the performances.

July 19-22: Christmas in July at Zoombezi Bay: Live entertainment, Early Christmas specials at our food and retail location, Christmas giveaway at 12:25 pm each day…And, of course…visits from Santa and his elves!

July 19- 27: Lancaster Festival: See website for times! | Musical performances, art activities, family-friendly concerts and more! Lee Brice, Wilson Phillips, Michael Jackson tribute and so much more!

July 19: Friday Night Flicks at Sycamore Park: The movie starts at dusk to see Super Mario Bro. Movie!

July 19-20: Arthritis Foundation Charity Car Show: This annual event benefits the Arthritis Foundation and features family-friendly entertainment, food trucks, live music and tons of great cars for a great cause! Check out acres of cars, trucks, motorcycles and special vehicle displays on Friday and Saturday! Kids 12 and under are free and tickets can be purchased online. Show hours are Friday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

July 20: PBJ and Jazz in Topiary Park: Enjoy a free kid-friendly jazz concert and take home an art activity.

July 20: Storytime LIVE at Kiddie Academy of Hilliard: 10:00 a.m. | Register online for this free story time featuring your favorite stories and characters!

July 20: Farm Animal Event at Main Library: 12:00 p.m. | Get up close and touch chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits and more at this event at Main Library!

July 20: Horse Powered Grain Threshing at Slate Run Farm: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM watch horses power machinery that separates grain from straw at Slate Run Farm!

July 20-21: MLS All-Star Soccer Celebration at McFerson Commons ParkThe MLS All-Star Soccer Celebration takes place on Saturday from 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM and Sunday from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM and is free to attend. There will be interactive fan zones, music, games, autographs, giveaways, MLS watch parties and more!

July 20: Cave Yoga at Olentangy Caverns: 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM, take a yoga class in the cave at Olentangy Caverns. All levels are welcome, ages 12 and up. Get tickets online!

July 21: National Ice Cream Day at Velvet Ice Cream: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM at Velvet Ice Cream, celebrate with $1.10 single dip cones or bowls, prizes, live music, horse & carriage rides and more!

July 21: Seeds of Caring’s Hope for Hospitalized Kids: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 pm at the Seeds of Caring Main Office | Join Seeds of Caring as they provide hope to hospitalized children by creating and assembling activities kits for kids at Nationwide Children’s Hospital to bring smiles and cheer.

July 21: Summer Concert Series at Sycamore Park: 7:00 p.m. | Enjoy a free concert in the park on Sunday night! Rock House to perform!

July 22: Taylor Swift Night: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Are you…Ready For It? Dance along to your favorite Taylor Swift tunes, compete for prizes during Taylor Swift trivia, make buttons and friendship bracelets to keep, and more. Costumes encouraged.

July 23: German Village Makers Market: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Shop tons of local vendors and food trucks in German Village.

July 24: Get the Scoop: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Beat the summer heat with free ice cream, fun family games, the splash pad, and more!

July 24-August 4: Ohio State Fair: Discover the Ohio State Fair, a favorite family tradition since 1850! Come for the Midway, featuring more than 50 exhilarating rides, and unleash all the fair flavors on your tastebuds with your favorite goodies from one of the amazing food vendors!

July 25-29: Kids Dream Series at Marcus Theater: Watch DC League of Super-Pets at participating Marcus Theatre. There is also a $3.00 Popcorn & Drink Special. You can see the movie for free with a voucher from American Family Insurance. See link for details!

July 25: Extreme Circus Polaris: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Fun for the whole family! Get a 10% discount online for each friend you refer.

July 25: Celebration at the Station: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Music at the station for this DORA event. Dave Matthews Tribute performing tonight!

July 26: Columbus Commons for Kids:10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Every Friday enjoy activities for kids at Columbus Commons. Free carousel rides, inflatables, face painting, balloon twisting and a Sports theme this week!

July 27: Seeds of Caring’s Kids in Action Protecting the Planet: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 am at Columbus Park of Roses| Join Seeds of Caring as they team up with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to be part of the solution by picking up litter at a park, helping local pollinators, and discussing ways you and your family can help take care of our planet.

July 26: Food Truck Friday at RHMC: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m .| Roosters and Graeter’s will be at the Ronald McDonald House and a portion of the sales will be donated.

July 26: Mount Carmel 4th Fridays: 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. | Many local businesses open late in Westerville. Come out for a fun summer night!

July 26: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen. Showing Madagascar 2!

July 26: Easton Rewind Outdoor Movie: 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. | Join in the fun at Easton this summer for 1999 Movie Rewind! In celebration of their 25th Anniversary, they’re bringing back some 90’s nostalgia by screening iconic movies that debuted in 1999. Beginning at 6 PM, enjoy family-fun activities and entertainment, then get cozy on your blanket or lawn chair for showtime at 9 PM! Tarzan tonight!

July 27: Open Barn Days at Sunrise Sanctuary: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Occurs once a month and you purchase tickets online!

July 27: Columbus Crew Game: 7:30 p.m. at Lower.com Field | Come out and cheer on the crew!

July 27: The Grandview Hop: From 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Saturday head to Grandview Avenue for an open air market, food trucks, live music, a charity beer garden, kids activities and more! Many local shops and restaurants in Grandview will stay open late!

July 28: Christmas in July: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Center Street Market| This is a FREE event with proceeds benefitting RMHC of Central Ohio. There will be mocktails, adult beverages, crafts, raffle, DJ – and of course pictures with Summer Vacation Santa!

July 28: Goodale Park Music: 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Live music at the Gazebo each Sunday.

July 28: Sprouts Night: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Enjoy this free kids’ event with live music and activities at Hilliard’s Station Park.

July 28: Concerts on the Green: 7:00 p.m. | Live music each Sunday night on the green in Worthington!
