How it is July already? It feels like summer is going too fast! The 4th of July is the halfway point of summer, but we have lots of fun activities left to do! Let’s make July a month to remember with all of the things we missed out on last year! The events and details are subject to change, so be sure to use the links to check directly with the businesses.

July: Activities and Events

July 1-8

July 1: Free Summer Movies: Free select 10 a.m. showings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Lennox Town Center 24. Free admission for all ages and groups are welcome. Doors open at 9 a.m. and movie begins at 10 a.m. with two films to choose from. Event will run until August 12.

July 1: Columbus Food Trucks at Columbus Commons: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Come out and enjoy lunch down at the Commons!

July 1: Dogs Night Out: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Graeters | Enjoy free Dogsters treats and great socialization time with other pets and people. Dogster Frozen Dog Treats are formulated to taste as good to your dog as ice cream.

July 1: Easton Unplugged: 6:00 p.m. at Easton | Grab a seat on a patio and enjoy the new series of acoustic music each Thursday.

July 1: Live at Polaris: 6:45 p.m. at Polaris Mall | The series will be in the parking at the Main Entrance by the Flag Poles. Tickets WILL NOT be required this year, and guests will be able to park in the lots next to the event, and walk over! Bring chairs, blankets, etc, just no coolers. There will be local Food Trucks so come hungry! Stadium 11 to perform tonight.

July 1-July 2: Lights of Liberty: 9:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. | Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights has created an event to honor and celebrate veterans and special warfare families. The Lights of Liberty Show is a drive-thru digital light show where you tune into a dedicated radio station and remain in your vehicles for a pop-up mini patriotic light show synchronized to music.

July 2: Fitness Yoga on the Square: 8:30 a.m. at Easton | Free yoga on the square!

July 2: Pirates and Princesses: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Polaris Mall | Pirates & Princesses kicks off our summer KidX series! Come dressed as a princess for the day or captain your own ship as a pirate! Meet with Captain Hook as pirates dance, sing and joust. It will be a morning of make believe and dreams.

July 2: Chick Hatching: 11:00 a.m. | Come to the Hilliard library to see chicks hatching with Bring the Farm To You.

July 2: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen.

July 2: Red, White and Brew Block Party: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at Tanger Outlets | Balloon artist, games, giveaways, food trucks, beer garden and more!

July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31: Worthington Farmers’ Market: 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. |  Come out and shop local each Saturday morning!

July 3: Freedom Fest in Hilliard: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.| Join the Hilliard community for the annual parade at 9 a.m. followed by a patriotic celebration, complete with live music, food trucks, and fireworks. Check back for more information.

July 3: Independence Day Parade Dublin11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | The parade will be in the traditional format and begin at 11 a.m. Watch as bands, floats, dancers and more march through Historic Dublin.

July 3: Independence Day Celebration in Westerville: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Concerts and activities at the Westerville Sports Complex followed by fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

July 3-July 11: Military Free Days at Columbus Zoo: To honor the members of the military and the sacrifices made to serve our country, the Zoo is offering free Zoo admission and discounted Zoombezi Bay admission to all who are serving and have served our great nation, including their immediate family.

July 4: Community Days at Franklin Park Conservatory: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Join the Conservatory for Community Day at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens for a FREE day of fun on the first Sunday of every month!

July 4: Hilliard Summer Concert Series: 2:00 p.m. | Hilliard Arts Council hosts a Sunday concert series featuring an eclectic mix of performers and music styles. The concerts are free to the public and this concert is being held at the Norwich Pavilion at Weaver Park adjacent to the Franklin County Fairgrounds. This July 4th concert will include patriotic favorites.

July 6: Outdoor Story Hour at Northwest Library: 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | Takes place each Tuesday and Thursday for children 5 and under.

July 6, 13, 20, 27: Hilliard Farmers’ Market: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Come out each Tuesday to support local at the Hilliard United Methodist Church.

July 6-10: Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park: 7:05 p.m.| Come see the Clippers play ball!

July 7, 14, 21, 28: Farmers’ Market at Franklin Park Conservatory: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Come out each Wednesday to get your fresh produce!

July 7: Summer Movie Clubhouse at Carriage Place | Enjoy safe and exciting big-screen entertainment for just $1.50 per ticket for each movie. Save even more with $1 OFF deals on kids’ snack packs, large popcorn & large drinks during Summer Movie Clubhouse showtimes. Showing The Lego Movie 2. There’s a different movie each Wednesday!

July 8-14

July 8: Art on the Farm Paint Night: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Come get in touch with your artsy side at Mitchell’s Berries! Ticket prices for the paint night include all painting supplies, instruction & a complimentary “berry” treat. You are welcomed to bring your own snacks and beverages. Limited to 25 guests.

July 8: Celebration at the Station: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Music at the Station with Mark Leach. DORA event!

July 8: Live at Polaris: 6:45 p.m. at Polaris Mall | The series will be in the parking at the Main Entrance by the Flag Poles. Tickets WILL NOT be required this year, and guests will be able to park in the lots next to the event, and walk over! McCartney Project to perform.

July 9: Friday Fun Days at The National Veterans Memorial: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | In July, families can visit the Memorial for $5 per person and participate in family fun enrichment activities and speak to a Veteran.

July 9: KidX : Animals: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Polaris Mall | Lions, tigers, bears – oh my! Practice your roars, chirps and barks and dress as your favorite animal for this fun-filled event! See your favorite animal friends, and take home a creative animal craft, along with other goodies!

July 9: Friday Afternoon Glow Skates: 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. | Glow while you roll at Skate Zone 71!

July 9: Heart of Grove City Food Truck Festival: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Town Center is open for business and this is a DORA event and shops will be open!

July 9: Trail Ride and Dinner: 5:45 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Join this evening group ride on the Heritage Rail Trail and try some Old Hilliard restaurants! Each ride will be 13 miles long, starting at Hilliard’s Station Park and riding the Heritage Rail Trail out and back!

July 9: Franklinton Friday: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Tour open studios and new gallery exhibitions with food trucks on site too!

July 9: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen.

July 9: Friday Night Flicks at Sycamore Park: Movie starts at dusk so come out and see Honey I Shrunk the Kids!

July 10: Motivation at the Station: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | High intensity fitness classes with SHED Fitness, 7 – 7:50 a.m. and Yoga with Mat Happy Yoga, 8 – 8:50 a.m.

July 10: Fitness in the Park Marion Village: 9:00 a.m. at Moeller Park | Saturdays at 9 am until October!

July 10: Market Opens at Branstool Orchards: 9:00 a.m. | The market at Branstool opens for the season and U pick peaches will be available soon.

July 10: Beekeeping at Pickerington Public Library: 10:00 a.m. | Learn more about the life cycle of a bee. Registration is required!

July 10: Wild Weekends: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Dublin Recreation Center | Meet some of our backyard wildlife in person! Live wild animal visitors will be featured each month, birds, mammals and reptiles. We will learn about some of their amazing adaptations.

July 10: Wheel Into Summer Craft: 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m.| On the second Saturday of every month from 11 to noon, pick up a free craft for kids at JCPenney, plus a 10% off coupon.

July 10: PBJ and Jazz in Topiary Park: Enjoy a free kid friendly jazz concert and it’s back to in person! Take home art activity as well.

July 11: Coffman Homestead Open House: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | The Historic Coffman Homestead and one-room school exhibit will be open for tours, hosted by the Dublin Historical Society. Don’t forget to try out the brand new iPad tour!

July 11: Sunday Funday in Worthington: I love the 80’s theme! Monthly themed dining, shopping and entertainment in Worthington’s historic district.

July 11: Concerts on the Green: Live music each Sunday night on the green in Worthington!

July 11: Summer Concert Series at Sycamore Park: 7:00 p.m. | Enjoy a free concert in the park on Sunday night! McCartney Project live tonight!

July 14: WIBIT Wednesdays: 11:30 a.m. – 6:20 p.m. at Westerville Aquatic Center | Get your play on! Enjoy the WIBIT inflatable obstacle course in the lap pool with some all-new pieces. HPAC timeslot reservation required.

July 14-17: Nina’s Voyage Under the Sea: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at The Columbus Zoo | Meet Nina West as you discover culinary delights and meet the zoo animals.

July 15-22

July 15: Food Trucks in the Park: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Moeller Park in Marion Village | Come out for yummy food from July through September!

July 15: Music at the Station: 6:30- 8:30 p.m. | Live music at the Station in Hilliard. DORA event! Featuring The Wet Bandits!

July 15: Live at Polaris: 6:45 p.m. at Polaris Mall | The series will be in the parking at the Main Entrance by the Flag Poles. Tickets WILL NOT be required this year, and guests will be able to park in the lots next to the event, and walk over! Fleetwood Gold to perform.

July 15-18 Miami Valley Steam Threshers: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Pastime Park in Plain City | You will be able to enjoy large display of tractors, steam and gas engines, but also watch them being used in our demonstrations throughout the day. Lawn mower pulls, a grand parade through downtown, touch a truck/tractor, steam engine spark show, tractor/truck pulls and so much more, all included for $5 admission.

July 16: KidX Beat the Heat: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | You’re invited to Beat the Heat, a sweet summer social, for a sweet time for you & your crew! Cool off with iced treats and forget the heat with activities that all will get a kick-the-can out of! Don’t miss a sun-tacular moment!

July 16: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen.

July 16: Columbus Symphony’s Popcorn Pops: All the Colors of Columbus: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Experience music from around the world and around our city. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with pre-concert activities and concert to begin at 7:00.

July 17: Motivation at the Station: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | High intensity fitness classes with SHED Fitness, 7 – 7:50 a.m. and Yoga with Mat Happy Yoga, 8 – 8:50 a.m.

July 17: Ohio Wildlife at Franklin Park Conservatory: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Join our Discovery Guest, the Ohio Wildlife Center,  in the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden! They will be bringing animals to the Learning Pavilion on select Saturdays in June, July and August.

July 17: Tacos and Tequilla: 1:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. in Grove City Historic Town Center | You can grab food from Latin food trucks and partake in high end tequila tastings. On the corner of Park Street and Broadway.

July 17: Columbus Wine Festival: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at The Kelly Green in Whitehall | Sample from 15 wine trends as well as enjoy live music, local artisans and more!

July 18: Concerts on the Green: Live music each Sunday night on the green in Worthington!

July 19-July 25: Franklin County Fair: Times vary each day | Most attractions and performances are FREE with admission (excluding select Grandstand events, rides, games and food).

July 19-25: Christmas in July at Zoombezi Bay: First 500 guests will receive a gift and special food and activities while enjoying the water park! Let’s spread some joy!

July 21: Get the Scoop: Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Hilliard Station | Beat the summer heat with free ice cream, fun family games, the splash pad, and more!

July 22: Friday Fun Days at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in July, families can visit for $5. Take a private tour, speak with a veteran and more! For ages 4th-12th grade.

July 22: Music at the Station: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Music at the station for this DORA event. Conspiracy tonight!

July 22: Live at Polaris: 6:45 at Polaris Mall |The series will be in the parking at the Main Entrance by the Flag Poles. Tickets WILL NOT be required this year, and guests will be able to park in the lots next to the event, and walk over! Fabulous Johnson brothers to perform!

July 23-31

July 23: KIDX Olympics: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Polaris Mall | Are you more of a swimmer or tennis player? Would you rather do a backflip or make a basket? Celebrate the 2021 Olympic games and dress as your favorite athlete or sport! (You just might take home a gold medal)!

July 23: Zoombezi Bay Family Nights: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | As the sun goes down, the Wild Tides Wave Pool turns into one cool aqua-theater as some of your favorite movies play on a jumbo screen.

July 23:Tween Glow Party: 6:30 p.m. at Five Party and Event Center | Kids ages 11-14 for a fun night of food, trivia, games and more!

July 23- 31: Lancaster Festival: See website for times! | Musical performances, art activities, family friendly concerts and more!

July 23:Outdoor Movie at X Church: 8:00 p.m. | Free showing of Minions outside on the lawn. Popcorn and cotton candy will be provided!

July 24: Motivation at the Station: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. | High intensity fitness classes with SHED Fitness, 7 – 7:50 a.m. and Yoga with Mat Happy Yoga, 8 – 8:50 a.m.

July 24: Open Barn Days at Sunrise Sanctuary: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Occur once a month and purchase tickets online!

July 24: German Village Makers Market: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Shop tons of local vendors and food trucks in German Village.

July 24: HPAC 10 Year Anniversary: 11:30 a.m. – 6:20 p.m. | This will be the biggest HPAC event all summer. Enjoy historical photos from the ghost of Highlands past, face painting, water games, crafts, water balloons and the WIBIT obstacle course.

July 25: Christmas in July at Center Street Market: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Celebrate Christmas in July with kid friendly fun including a dunk tank, Kidzbop, stilt walkers, and crafts!

July 25: Christmas in July with Santa and Holiday Friends at Coffman Pavillion: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. | HO HO HO ! Enjoy a Holiday spectacular ! Featuring Santa, Mrs Claus, Santas Elves, Buddy & Jovie, Grinchy & Cindy and of course a surprise guest. $35 per family unit!

July 25: Concerts on the Green: Live music each Sunday night on the green in Worthington!

July 26: Restaurant Week in Columbus: 150 restaurants will be running specials with three course dishes! Perfect time to try a new spot for a good deal too!

July 29: Music at the Station: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Live music at the station during this DORA event. The Menus to perform tonight!

July 29: Live at Polaris: 6:45 at Polaris Mall | The series will be in the parking at the Main Entrance by the Flag Poles. Tickets WILL NOT be required this year, and guests will be able to park in the lots next to the event, and walk over! New Frontiers to perform.

July 30: Heroes and Villians: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Polaris Mall | It is time to break out your favorite superhero (or villain) costume! There will be a costume contest for the bravest and evilest. Take pictures with some of your favorite friends (and arch-enemies)!
